What is Nettles?
Nettle (Urtica dioica) has been used since the Bronze Age, initially the fibers from the stalks were used to make a cloth similar to linen. In fact, the name nettle comes from words meaning “textile plant”. Nettle is a perennial that grow up to 5 feet with lance-shaped leaves and green flowers. It is an alkalizing herb that is rich in minerals, especially iron and is also a source of carotenoids and vitamin C. *
